How to Submit Your Consumer Data Rights Request

We will confirm receipt of your consumer data rights request within ten (10) business days.  If you do not receive confirmation within the 10-day timeframe, please email

We endeavor to substantively respond to a verifiable consumer data rights request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt.  If we require more time (up to another forty-five (45) days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.  We will deliver our written response by mail or electronically, at your option.

If we decline to take action regarding your request, we will inform you within 45 days of receipt of the request of the justification for declining to take action and instructions for how to appeal the decision.

If we are unable to authenticate your request using commercially reasonable efforts, we will not be able to comply with your request to initiate an action and we may request that you provide additional information reasonably necessary to authenticate your identity and your request.

Any disclosures we provide will only cover the twelve (12) month period preceding our receipt of your request.  The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable.  For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.

We will not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer data rights request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded in adherence with Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act.  If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.

Appealing a Consumer Data Rights Decision

You have the right to appeal our decision regarding your consumer data rights request if we refused to take action on your request.  You may submit your appeal request by contacting us at, include “Appeal” in the subject line.  Within sixty (60) days of receipt of your appeal, we will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal, including a written explanation of the reasons for the decisions.
